Expert Composite Decks in Chesterfield, VA
Composite decks are a practical choice for homeowners in Chesterfield, VA. Central Virginia summers bring high humidity, intense UV exposure, and seasonal storms that wear down outdoor materials fast. Composite boards resist moisture, rot, and insect damage in ways that wood simply cannot match. They hold their color through years of heat and rain without annual staining or sealing. At Johnston's Deck and Fence, every composite deck project is managed by a certified Project Management Professional. That means clear communication from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. We plan each build around your yard, your home's layout, and how you want to use the space. Whether you want a quiet spot to unwind or a larger area for family gatherings, we design and build composite decks that fit your life. We serve homeowners across Chesterfield, Richmond, Colonial Heights, Petersburg, Prince George, and Glen Allen.

FAQ
Composite Decks FAQ
Common questions about composite decks in Chesterfield, VA.
Yes, composite decking performs well in Chesterfield's climate. It resists the high humidity, summer heat, and seasonal rain that cause wood decks to warp and rot.
A composite deck in the Richmond area needs only occasional cleaning with soap and water. You do not need to stain, seal, or sand it to keep it in good shape.
Composite boards can get warm in direct afternoon sun, which is common across Colonial Heights and Petersburg. Choosing lighter board colors helps reduce surface heat on sunny days.

Composite decking does not require the regular staining and sealing that wood decks need to stay protected. It is built for lower upkeep while still giving your outdoor space a clean, finished look.
Our owner is a certified Project Management Professional who oversees every build with structured planning and clear communication. That process keeps your project organized from the design stage through the final walkthrough.
